Who Are These Guys?

Suddenly, for the first time in eight years, I came to find out that we had fiscal conservatives in Congress! I saw interview after interview today with republican house members who suddenly care about how our money is being spent. Statements like "I don't want to leave my daughter with this debt". "Why should the taxpayer bailout the rich?".

For the last six years we have seen our president and the republican Congress spend our money like drunken sailors. But who cares, it's borrowed! Yet now they suddenly care, the same guys who deregulated the rules in the money markets. And the straight talk express, John McCain who still loves deregulation cares about our money too.

So McCain goes to Congress last week to save us all and today bragged about it. Then came the vote and suddenly it was Barrack Obama and the Democrats who were at fault even though his party who he had supposedly led to fix this bailout problem voted against it.

It's their president and their republican policies which led to this mess, and now they are acting (note acting) like they belong to some other political party. Or maybe they are pretending that the current administration belongs to some other political group.

The point is they are trying hard to convince us that they aren't the people who had anything to do with this economic crisis and they now are the people who really care about our money. Well with the election less then two months away, this clearly makes sense.

Let's all forget the last eight years. Let's forget the none stop spending, the huge policy mistakes, the terrible mismanagement, and above all, let's forget the truth. Just elect them and then we should know the rest of the story!

Aloha Mike

Couldn't agree more and posted this on my MySpace blog this morning:

The Sky Didn’t Fall
Category: News and Politics

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice that the only place the sky is falling is on Wall Street?

We're repeatedly being told by the Media, the Politicians, and some a** wipe named Paulson that if we don't send this money, we're going to lose our jobs, lose our businesses, lose our pension, yada, yada, yada.

Sounds to me like Henny Penny and the childhood story about the "sky falling."

It also sounds to me that Wall Street is the only one's that will lose their jobs, lose their businesses, lose their pension, yada, yada, yada.

I checked my retirement account. I lost a little sure! But I've got time to wait it out.

The bank I do business with (a local one) isn't failing, being purchased, nor being bailed out.

And this morning I woke up and the sky is still there where it always was.

Maybe the greedy Wall Street bastages that created this mess ought to just be left holding the bag. What a novel idea, don't you think?

As for me, I'm going on with my usual day of making money the old fashioned way - EARNING IT.
