The republican party is in denial. They are conveniently pretending that they were not in control of the white house and congress over the last eight years. They are quick to point out that the current congress hasn't done much but they don't mention that they are the ones who block every piece of legislation the Democrats try to past. And when something does pass, their president has vetoed the bill.
The republicans are now trying to sell us more of their lies by trying to portray themselves as a party of change. I think they are the "Party Of Lies". They won't admit it's their policy of deregulation that has created our economic crisis. In case you forgot, deregulation means "remove the rules".
It's this simple: You take away the rules and you get powerful greedy people out of control. They do everything and anything they want to make all the money they can. And when no one is minding the store, you end up with this disaster we now face. Look for example at what the lack of rules has done to gas prices. They raise the price whenever and as often as they want. Now this is great for business if you are an oil man. And did you notice how the prices have generally dropped lately. It's Election Gas! They want the republicans to remain in power so they can screw you after the election is over. This is exactly what happened in the last election in case you forgot. With no rules in place, anything goes.
Republicans are now trying to reinvent themselves into a party of real change after they and their decisions led to the 800 point drop in our stock market over the last two days. Failure after failure, bailout after bailout, with no end in site. Obama has clearly attempted in congress to get rules in place over the last two years but the republicans always say that this will hurt business (that is their rich friends businesses) and they block these proposals. Now they have the guts to try to blame Democrats for our economy in crisis.
The Party Of Lies, The Republican Party has for eight years led our country and other countries to the brink of economic destruction. They have also led our military to the brink of destruction by overusing our troops repeatedly; again based on lies. The time is overdue to get these greedy rich bastards out of office and it is time to elect people who really care about the middle class. The democratic party has always represented the middle class and we need their help now more then ever.
