Today we saw our stock market lose over 500 plus points which will mean that your pension or 401k has taken a serious hit. Millions of Americans who are planning to retire are seeing their dreams of retirement fade away with no positive outlook in the near future.
Now imagine if our social security fund had been privatised. All those seniors who depend on survival not having any money to live on. This is exactly what John McCain offers you. Investing the social security fund in the stock market.
Today McCain said that the stock market lacks regulation. For years the republication party has fought to deregulate industries in our country; the airline industry, the oil industry, the financial industry for examples. They said regulation would hurt business.
So as Bill Clinton once said, "It's The Economy Stupid". When will the people out there wake up from this madness their party, the republican party has delivered?

Good one! I believe in privatising social security but not into the stock market. I think someone other than the government should be managing the money in a mutual fund. But now, as we've seen with Bear Sterns and Lehman Brother's even the financial experts can't be trusted any more than we can trust the government not to keep putting an I.O.U. into the fund every time they borrow from it! (See the movie, "Maxed Out") And now the government owns our houses all the while we - the tax payers - are flipping the bill for corporate irresponsibility, greed, and out of control government spending. People need to wake up! The money our government borrows from the Federal Reserve is paid back by our taxes and we are barely paying interest payments! The government on its own does not have a product that it can sell to earn the money to pay this deficit back. We pay it back! We need to take the government back too! Thanks for your realism and calling out of the real issues!
